| Winning the War Against Terror |
|
Americans understand the consequences we will face if we do not prevail in the War against Terror. We must remain committed to achieving victory in Iraq, finishing our work in Afghanistan, and keeping a watchful eye on other dangerous regimes of the world, such as Iran, North Korea, and Cuba. The American Issues Project will strongly oppose legislation -- and inform the American public -- when politicians start advocating “surrender” as a public policy position. We support making sure our brave men and women in the field have every tool they need to get the job done. We oppose efforts to tie troop funding to special-interest pork barrel projects that result in partisan debates while our troops wait. Our armed forces deserve to have everything they need at the very moment they need it, not partisan bickering and game playing. The American Issues Project also supports ensuring law enforcement has the tools it needs to fight terrorists both at home and abroad, including warrantless wiretaps and any other measures deemed necessary to preventing another attack on our country.
